IT Operations Manager

Based within Revenue Scotland’s IT team, you would be responsible for all standard aspects of IT Service Management, ensuring tickets are managed to agreed service levels, promoting excellence in customer service and improving the user experience. Revenue Scotland is a great place to develop new skills and you will be supported in your role with learning and development to enable you to perform at your best.



This job will offer flexibility on where you work. Revenue Scotland is piloting a hybrid working approach, where colleagues will use a mix of office based and remote working based on individual and business needs of the role. Your main base would be Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, however there is also an option of working from Glasgow City Centre as well as from home.



Working alongside key stakeholders including our shared services partner Scottish Government IT, as IT Operations Manager you’ll work to ensure that our services are secure and availability is assured.

 

• Delivering on our IT Digital Strategy in support of Revenue Scotland’s Corporate Plan 2021-2024.

• Play a leading role in matters of IT Risk Management (Business Continuity Planning / Disaster Recovery) along with IT Governance and IT Budget and Financial Management activities as directed by the Head of IT.

• Assist in improving ITIL based processes to track, monitor, report on, resolve and escalate incidents, service requests and changes within your team whilst also acting as the initial escalation point contact for stakeholders and ensure standard operating procedures are both documented and regularly updated.

Salary: £39,659 per annum with a £5,000 pay supplement per annum

Location: Edinburgh / Glasgow

Hours: Around 37.00 per week
