Revenue Scotland takes the protection of taxpayer information seriously and has an obligation set out within the The Revenue Scotland and Tax Powers Act 2014 to protect tax payer information and ensure its systems and processes are resilient against cyber-attacks.

As part of its commitment to cyber security, Revenue Scotland works in partnership with the Scottish Government Cyber Resilience Unit and is an accredited Public Sector Cyber Essentials Catalyst – An exemplar programme of the Public Sector Action Plan for Cyber Resilience introduced by the Scottish Government and National Cyber Resilience Leaders’ Board in November 2017. The Plan sets out the key actions for Scottish Government, public bodies and partners to implement to further enhance resilience within the Scottish public sector against cyber-attacks.
