Revenue Scotland changes email address

Revenue Scotland is changing its email address to ensure it continues to meet the security requirements of the government’s digital services network.

What does this mean?

From Monday 4th March, the @revenuescotland.gsi.gov.uk suffix will be replaced with @revenue.scot. This means that you will need to update all Revenue Scotland contacts in your email address book.  For example, joe.bloggs@revenuescotland.gsi.gov.uk will need to be changed to joe.bloggs@revenue.scot.

From 4th March, emails sent from Revenue Scotland will be from the new @revenue.scot address. However, you need to update your address books from 4th March to minimise the risk of automated functions in your email software automatically using the old gsi address when you reply.

If you continue to send to the old email address, your email will either fail to reach us or it will be sent without the necessary level of security.

Revenue Scotland’s corporate group email accounts are unaffected – i.e. lbtt@revenue.scot and info@revenue.scot. Emails sent to these accounts ending in @revenue.scot do not need to be changed.

Additional actions

The information below sets out some additional measures where you can help to reduce the risk of emails either being delayed or not reaching us in the coming weeks

  • check your spam folders for Revenue Scotland emails. This reduces the risk of emails being lost if your email provider fails to recognise the new format and emails from us;
  • share the update with anyone you think needs to know about the change;
  • help to raise awareness of the email change by sharing this article and retweeting/sharing our Twitter posts.

If you have any queries or questions, please contact info@revenue.scot.
