Commentary

A total self reported tax liability of £80.8m was declared by taxpayers in June 2023. This is the highest ever for the month of June.

The tax liability, excluding ADS, declared in June 2023 was £58.6m. This is £12.7m more than May 2023, and £2.6m more than June 2022.

In comparison to the previous month, residential liabilities, excluding ADS, increased by £6m and non-residential liabilities, excluding ADS, increased by £6.7m.

A total of 10,220 notifiable land and building transactions were reported in June 2023, which is 930 more than May 2023, and 310 more than June 2022.
